How Alamo Direct collects, uses and protects the information you share with us, and the choices you have.

Last updated: October 9, 2026

01Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information Alamo Direct ("Alamo," "we," "us" or "our") may collect when you use this website and our related online services (together, the "Sites"), and the choices you have about how that information is used.

By visiting the Sites, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. As our business evolves, we will update this policy to reflect changes in how we operate, and we may revise it at any time. Updates will be posted on the Sites, and we will give other notice where appropriate.

02Our Commitment to Online Privacy and Security

We value the trust you place in Alamo and work to protect it. Your privacy online matters to us, so we take an active approach to safeguarding it. When you interact with us, you can rely on confidentiality, security and your right to change your mind.

03Confidentiality

In some areas of the Sites you may choose to share personal information with us, such as your name, company, address, phone number or email address. We may use this information for marketing research and for other marketing and service purposes, such as sending materials you request and keeping in touch with you by email.

We may share general, aggregated demographic information that is not linked to any individual with our business partners, service providers, trusted affiliates and advertisers. Except as described below, we do not disclose the personal information you share with us to anyone outside Alamo, and we treat that information as confidential.

  • We may disclose personal information to respond to lawful requests from government authorities, subpoenas or other legal process; to protect the interests or safety of visitors, customers, employees or others; to address national security matters; or where the law otherwise requires it. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations to help prevent fraud and reduce credit risk.

We will never transfer your personal information to a third party for that third party's own marketing purposes without your specific permission.

04Information We Collect

To provide our products and services, we collect personal information about you when you submit it to us, for example through a quote request or contact form. This can include your name, work email address, company, phone number and the details of your part or sourcing requirement. We may also receive this kind of information from third parties. "Personal information" means information that identifies you, or could reasonably be used to identify you.

We may also collect information about your visits to the Sites, and what you do during or after a visit, without you actively submitting it. This may include your browser type and language, operating system, Internet Protocol (IP) address, the websites you visited before and after the Sites, the search that brought you to the Sites, the pages and advertisements you view, and the links you click. See Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies below for more detail.

05How We Use Personal Information

We collect personal information mainly to make transactions efficient and to give you information about products and services that are relevant to you. We may also use it to improve the Sites, tell you about updates to the Sites, support internal business analysis and other business purposes consistent with our mission, and carry out any other purposes we have disclosed to you and you have agreed to.

We will not do anything that puts your trust at risk, and that includes renting or selling your personal information.

06Information We Share

We share personal information with unaffiliated companies that perform services on our behalf. Each of these companies is contractually required to keep the personal information we provide confidential and to use it only to deliver the services we have asked them to perform.

We may also share personal information with unaffiliated companies that market our products and services, such as authorized Alamo partners. These are separate businesses with their own privacy policies.

07How We Protect Personal Information

We use physical, electronic and procedural safeguards designed to protect personal information, along with encryption and user-authentication measures intended to keep your data secure. Access to personal information is limited to authorized employees, contractors and business partners who need it to do their work and who are contractually required to keep it secure.

08Correcting or Updating Your Information

If your personal information changes (for example, your address or phone number), or you are no longer interested in our services, let us know through our contact page and we will make reasonable efforts to correct or update your information.

09Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect or use personal information from children, meaning anyone under the age of 13, on the Sites without prior, verifiable parental consent. We do not knowingly allow children to order our products, communicate with us or use our online services.

If you become aware that a child has given us personal information, please tell us through our contact page. We will take all reasonable steps to delete that information as soon as possible and will not use it for any purpose, except where needed to protect the safety of the child or others, or as required by law.

10Links to Other Websites

The Sites may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the content, links or privacy practices of those websites, and we recommend that you read their privacy policies before using them.

11Email and Contact Messages

The Sites offer email links and contact forms so you can reach us directly with questions or comments. We read every message and aim to reply promptly. We use the information in your message to respond to you. We may also keep your comments to help improve the Sites and our services, or review and then discard them. We do not share your personal information with third parties without your express permission, except as described in Information We Share above.

12Communication Preferences

You will receive emails, mailings or other communications from Alamo only if you have asked for them or agreed to join our mailing list. If you no longer want to receive emails or mailings from us, use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or let us know through our contact page.

13Phishing Scams

"Phishing" is a type of fraudulent message designed to obtain your personal information, which can then be used to steal your identity. Common examples are requests to send passwords, login names, Social Security numbers or other personal details by email, mail, fax or text message. Alamo does not make requests of this kind.

If you receive a suspicious message like this, delete it and, if you can, update your email filters to block the sender's address. The Federal Trade Commission and the Anti-Phishing Working Group are good sources of information about these threats and how to report them.

14Site Traffic Monitoring

We collect information about visits to the Sites by tracking IP addresses or other identifiers, and we use it to make future visits more convenient and useful for all visitors. We may also collect the device type, browser type, time of access, and the pages through which a visitor enters and leaves the Sites.

15Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

Cookies and similar technologies save you from re-entering certain information, help us show you relevant content, and show us which parts of the Sites are most popular. A cookie is a small file that our web server, or the web server of one of our third-party partners, may send to your device when you visit the Sites. The file is then stored on your device.

Our Cookie Policy explains the categories of cookies we use and how to manage them.

Why we use cookies and similar technologies. We use them for the following purposes:

  • To remember information you have entered into a form or field on the Sites, if you choose. For example, they let the Sites remember the parts you have added to a quote request.
  • To show content tailored to your interests and preferences based on your earlier activity on the Sites.
  • To compile aggregate statistics about how the Sites are used, analyze trends, and otherwise run and improve the Sites.

Types of cookies and similar technologies we use. The Sites may use the following, among others:

  • Session cookies. These temporary pieces of information are deleted when you close your browser or turn off your device. We use them, for example, to make the Sites easier to navigate, to prevent information from being submitted where it is not appropriate, and to collect aggregated statistics.
  • Persistent cookies. These stay on your device until they expire or you delete them. They store information for purposes such as recalling details you have provided before, understanding which areas of the Sites visitors find most valuable, and personalizing the Sites to your preferences over time.
  • Web beacons (also called internet tags, single-pixel GIFs, clear GIFs or invisible GIFs). A web beacon is a tiny image on a web page or in an email that records which pages are viewed or which messages are opened. It sends the Sites' server information such as the IP address and browser type of the visitor's device. Web beacons may be placed in online advertisements that lead to the Sites and on pages of the Sites, and they tell us how often a page is opened and what information is viewed.

16Third-Party Advertising Cookies

Like most advertisers, we aim to place our advertisements where they will be most relevant. One way we do this is by allowing the network advertising companies we work with to place their own cookies or similar markers when you visit the Sites. This lets an advertising company recognize people who have visited the Sites before. When you later visit another website where that company has bought ad space, it can recognize your interest in Alamo's products and services and show you one of our advertisements.

17Your Choices About Targeted Advertising

Alamo follows the Digital Advertising Alliance's Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising (www.aboutads.info). The Digital Advertising Alliance runs a website where you can opt out of interest-based advertising from some or all of the participating network advertising companies (www.aboutads.info/choices).

Most web browsers also let you change your settings so that you are notified when you receive a cookie and can choose whether to accept it, or so that all cookies are refused automatically. If you refuse all cookies, some features of the Sites that depend on them may not work. Because Alamo does not control these tools, we cannot guarantee that they will be effective.

18Do Not Track

Do Not Track (DNT) is a privacy setting available in some web browsers that lets users ask websites and online services not to track them. Because the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has not yet set a universal standard for recognizing DNT signals, Alamo and the Sites do not currently respond to them.

19Questions and Comments

If you have any comments or questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, please send them through our contact page. We will do our best to respond to all reasonable requests promptly.
